City CEO’s

Political leaders often get the credit, but municipal administrators are usually responsible for significant achievements in city government. City CEO’s must maneuver through complicated relationships with state and federal lawmakers and bureaucrats while providing financial stewardship for tax dollars. On this program, four city managers explain how strong-manager governments work and why frequent conversations with state legislatures are critical to municipal governance.  Ron Carlee of Charlotte, Tom Leath of Myrtle Beach, Denise Turner Roth of Greensboro and Teresa Wilson of Columbia provide their perspectives.
