Recent job announcements in the Carolinas seem to indicate the region is well on its way to economic recovery. The efforts leading to the added employment have been years in the making, with policy makers aggressively recruiting companies and protecting the incentive packages which are not always viewed favorably by the electorate. On this program, our panel of experts discuss the work of keeping politicians of each political party on the same page for the sake of the economy and the importance of good education policy as a recruitment tool. Kit Cramer of the Asheville Chamber of Commerce, Lewis Gossett of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance, Dr. Frank Hefner of the College of Charleston, and Dr. David Swindell of the University of North Carolina at Charlotte join the conversation.
