Digital Divide

While digital connectivity has become a way of life for most Americans, there are entire communities which continue to live off the grid, either by choice or by inability to pay for internet service. In an era where economic vitality and even relevance are sometimes inextricably linked to a robust internet connection, what happens to those who are rarely, or never online? It’s a topic we broach with Angie Bailey of the N.C. Broadband Division of the N.C. Department of Commerce, Dr. Dirk Brown of the Faber Entrepreneurship Center at the University of South Carolina, Joe Freddoso of MCNC and John Warner of InnoVenture, LLC.
