Education in the Information Age

North Carolina’s public schools are on the cusp of a significant transformation, according to Bill Cobey, Chairman of the N.C. State Board of Education. However, teacher compensation has fallen to nearly 10,000 per year below the national average and morale is low among many educators. On this program, Cobey calls for educators to lobby state lawmakers to address compensation and other key education policy initiatives. Dr. Heath Morrison of Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools and Dr. Kathy Headley of Clemson University’s School of Education join the discussion.
