Hospital Pricing

North Carolina’s Attorney General has his sights set on the state’s hospitals and the bills they’re sending to insurers and patients. Roy Cooper is examining the methods used to determine prices for hospital services and researching whether the consolidation of medical practices has created anti-trust issues. On this program, the state’s chief law enforcement officer discusses the hospital inquiry, his views on the state of political discourse and his office’s examination of the state’s largest utility, Duke Energy.
