Industry and Energy

The low cost of energy in the Carolinas has been cited as a primary driver in economic development, most notably the onshoring of manufacturing in the region. At the same time, many business leaders have expressed concern about what they believe is a lack of energy policy, both in the Carolinas and nationally. On this program, former Duke Energy executive Ellen Ruff, now with McGuire Woods, and Lewis Gossett of the South Carolina Manufacturers Alliance discuss the years of planning which has led to our current energy costs and what the future might hold for power production and environmental regulation.
