As President of the South Carolina Technical College System, Dr. Jimmie Williamson is working to change the perception of two-year colleges, especially among parents.   Companies in the state’s bustling manufacturing and information technology sectors are ready to pay good salaries for well-trained students who graduate from technical colleges, along with health care providers and other high-growth industries. Meanwhile, business leaders are collaborating to affect change in education policy and ensure a pipeline of qualified employees. On this program, we discuss the transition to better jobs through education and training with Dr. Williamson, Bill Anderson of MeckEd and Grady Johnson of SC Biz News.
