Urban Redevelopment

Several cities in North and South Carolina have transformed their downtowns in recent years, remaking the way we live, work and play in our urban cores. For other cities, the makeover is only just beginning. On this program, Matthew Coppedge of Downtown Durham, Inc., Pat Danahy of the Greensboro Partnership, Ben Haskew of the Greenville Chamber of Commerce and Matt Kennell of City Center Partnership discuss how they are creating a “sense of place” in a city’s center and how a redefined downtown drives economic development.
